Dear Alumni
I can’t believe that already we are well into 2010, and how quickly each year passes. How many years is it since you were a student at Blue Hills College? Indeed, the years go quickly!
I am in my fifth year as Principal at Blue Hills College and each year has been enjoyable and challenging. This year we are again blessed with a great group of students and committed Christian staff.
I would like to share with you some of the exciting developments we have seen on our campus. In 2009 an administration building and new amenities block were completed, as well as major refurbishment works of our secondary campus facilities. We are looking forward with anticipation to the completion of our new multi-purpose centre which will house a full size basketball court, netball, volleyball and badminton courts, a commercial kitchen/canteen, uniform shop, staff common room and two general learning area classrooms. It will certainly be an outstanding facility which will offer immeasurable benefits to our school community.
2010 marks the 60th anniversary of our College, and we will be celebrating right here on our Goonellabah campus on November 20, 2010. As a valuable member of our alumni, we look forward to welcoming you to this event. Details of our celebratory event will be posted on our website in due course. We would like to contact as many previous students and staff as possible to let them know about this event, and would appreciate your assistance in doing this. Please provide us with your contact details, as well as the contact details of friends who studied here with you.
Whether you graduated from Blue Hills College, Seventh-day Adventist Union School, or Blue Hills Adventist School; whether you attended for one term or for multiple years, we want you to know that you remain a valued part of our school community.
